A purpose built accommodation cluster with huge potential.

Ruckley Home Farm has been designed specifically for young adults in need of supported independence. It is a housing cluster of four two bedroomed units, each unit with individual en-suite facilities and a shared kitchen space. The accommodation runs along a glass-fronted corridor and is overlooked by a care worker’s room, which will offer 24/7 on call care to those who require the extra support. The building itself has kept the charm of the original farmhouse that resides next door and includes a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area ideal for communal indoor activities. The space can be transformed with ease to accommodate various indoor games, cookery classes and communal dining, as well as providing a social hub to relax and meet up. The walled garden area will provide the setting for outdoor recreation, complete with a pond, trampoline and plenty of garden games.

Ruckley Home Farm is situated in a beautiful rural location, amongst fields of working farmland. Participation in growing fresh fruit and vegetables will be encouraged through our raised beds within the grounds. We are looking to develop the idea of a small working Care Farm on site – please click on the ‘Future’ tab above to find out more.

The vision for Ruckley Home Farm is one of choice and inclusion. We hope to provide the means by which the young adults can decide and plan their days to suit their interests within the community.

Having built this with Isabella at the heart of the dream, we really understand the importance of having a network of friends and family to support the project. We aim to establish an environment where parents and guardians are welcome to visit and engage with activities wherever appropriate. As a united community we hope to enrich the lives of our group to create a warm, engaging and fulfilling environment to all. Holiday and respite accommodation can be arranged and will be provided in one of the units for those that want to get a taster of the site and the facilities on offer.
